JOHN BATCHELOR SHOW
Hour One
Tuesday 26 May 2020  / Hour 1, Block A: Tom Joscelyn, Senior Fellow, Foundation for Defense of Democracies; & Senior Editor for FDD's Long War Journal; and Bill Roggio, Long War Journal and FDD; in re:  Taliban declared a unilateral ceasefire for Eid al Fitr.  Taliban also has asserted: “The only acceptable outcome is the reestablishment of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan” (i.e, Taliban-controlled).  US agreed to leave within 14 months from 29 February 2020.  Talban agrees to release 1,000 prisoners when US releases 5,000. Opacity in selection process.
Tuesday 26 May 2020  / Hour 1, Block B: Frank Gaffney, SecureFreedom.org, in re:  The Chinese Communist Party’s aggression. The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board: a Washington entity of five individuals, appointed by Obama, decided in 20017 that the federal retirement funds should migrate funds from uniformed and civilian employees and retirees, into a fund of Chinese companies Some of those are engaged in bad things:  major human rights violations; building South China Sea islands; building weapons systems to kill  American military and civilians. President Trump intervened directly: changed the board’s makeup, and set down markers with Larry Kudlow and Robert O’Brien.  They described the problem:  The problem is three-fold; we don't know about the financial viability of the Chinese companies –  they provide no info. some of them do work for the CCP that’s harmful to US security, or is in violation of our human rights requirements. There may be 160 million Americans contributing to this.
How did this come to be?  Back since Nixon, the US has embraced the notion that as along as were enriching China, it'll become democratic. In May 2013, then-VP Biden helped engineer a deal that allows the Chinese: you don't have to conform to our audit standards (that US companies pay $1.5 ml to do): Chinese then moved trillions from the US back to Beijing. No one challenged this till very recently.
There are people in this Administration, especially Treasure Secretary Mnuchin, formerly of Goldman Sachs, who're determined to maintain this sweetheart deal; Kudlow has come down on the side of: We must protect our citizens. We can‘t become one vast China lobby.

We can tear up this sweetheart deal on thirty days’ notice.
Tuesday 26 May 2020  / Hour 1, Block C:  Joseph Humire, Secure Free Society; and Senator  Fernanda Cabal of Colombia; in re: Bolsonaro of Brazil. AMLO of Mexico.
Tuesday 26 May 2020  / Hour 1, Block D:   Joseph Humire,   Secure Free Society; and Senator  Fernanda Cabal of Colombia; in re: Maduro-regime cronies are raising the Iranian flag in Caracas. When the fuel from Iran is offloaded, it’ll be used not by the people but by the military and high-level cronies. The Venezuelan thugs are far from being revolutionaries; they’re consummate liars and anti-revolution. The regime said, the oil won't last more than three days. Did the ships also carry something else? Perhaps weapons? To hold up the Iranian flag in a sovereign nation such as Venezuela —the propaganda is more than I expected.  The oil minister [Tareck El Aissami, long a supporter of Hezbollah, especially in the South American Tri-Border Area, and indicted in the US on drug trafficking charges] controls mining, national economy, immigration and the armed forces. It's he who holds the power.

Recovery is going a little faster than people expected.   The second quarter will be an abomination  There’ll be terrible numbers.  Mkt will trade in a narrow range and go down a bit; but thereafter, [excellent]. Today Norwegian Cruise up 15%.  Highly rated co’s [Disney, Apple, et al.] have borrowed a trillion dollars in the last few months.
Tuesday 26 May 2020   / Hour 2, Block B:  Elizabeth Peek, TheHill and Fox News; in re:     VP: Val Deming of Florida; or Kamela Harris; or Stacy Abrams, whom I consider to be toxic. Many have found her to be truly offensive. Klobuchar is sidelined.

Tuesday 26 May 2020   / Hour 3, Block B:  Lee Smith, The Tablet; in re: Gen Michael Flynn.  Richard Grennell: the unmasking of Gen Flynn by 39 Obama officials 53 times.  Evidence of a wide-scale surveillance operation. Looked in also at almost everyone on the Trump team. Showed that Russiagate is a false-flag operation.  What the Obama Adm was ding was turning it around to make it about “ties to Russia,” of which there was none—evidence of their massive spying operation against Trump before the election, After he was elected, they went after transition officials. Continued spying through the opening of the Mueller Special Counsel investigation,  Pres Obama created a culture of espionage.  UN ambassador as “the largest unmasker in the nation’s history.” They wanted to know Trump’s plans in the Middle East esp in Iran.  Spying n US Congressmen, esp those who favored Israel.  Two continua: Obama’s protection of the Iran deal, and  . . .

Tuesday 26 May 2020   / Hour 4, Block B:  Gregory Copley, Defense and Foreign Affairs; in re:  South Africa disintegrating into factions. Zulus looking like the winner #inthetimeofthevirus.
The South Africa Act 1909 amalgamated the four previously separate British colonies: Cape ColonyColony of NatalTransvaal Colony, and Orange River Colony.  A 1960 referendum  legitimized the country becoming the Republic of South Africa. On 27 April 1994, after decades of armed struggle, terrorism, and international opposition to Apartheid, a deeply cruel anti-Black system invented and instituted by the Boers,  the African National Congress (ANC) achieved victory in the country's first democratic election. Since then, the African National Congress has governed South Africa, in an alliance with the South African Communist Party and the Congress of South African Trade Unions.
The economy of South Africa is the second largest in Africa, after Nigeria. At present, South Africa has an extreme and persistent high unemployment rate of over 25%, which interacts with other socioeconomic problems such as inadequate education, poor health and high levels of crime.
The ANC, home to the most distinguished revolutionaries of the Twentieth Century, was long seen as the saviour of the entire society.  As it now stands, it looks as though the ANC has failed; that much-publicized criminality at high levels seems to have looted the state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to such a degree that the entire country might break into separate divisions. How this might occur is discussed in the segment.
