JOHN BATCHELOR SHOW
Co-hosts: Sebastian Gorka, Fox; and Malcolm Hoenlein, Conference of Presidents

Hour One
Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 1, Block A: Conrad Black, author, Donald J. Trump, A President Like No Other; in re: Impeachment and Russiagate (1 of 2) Does this pass Constitutional muster?  To be seen. Either we maintain impeachment as an extremely rare event, or  . . . if it’s what Gerald Ford said, anything the Congress decides it’s for. If that, then the Supreme Court ought to state it. Here, no actual evidence of a crime.

Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 1, Block C: Sebastian Gorka broadcasts a Salem Radio show and is national security strategist at Fox News; in re: Mrs Pelosi demands that the Senate work be according to  her standard of fairness. After the Congressional inquiry’s protocols, this seems odd.
A theory:  a possible Supreme Court chair may open; perhaps Mrs Pelosi will refuse to allow it to be filled on the ground that the president is still under impeachment. In The Economist, Edward Luce writes, “The Democrats need a messiah.” They don't currently have a strong candidate, making Pres Trump loom larger in their mind.  The Democrats may believe that they can beat Pres Trump only with a messiah. During this last set of inquiry debacles, the GOP has got 600,000 new donors who are not Republicans.
Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 1, Block D: Sebastian Gorka broadcasts a Salem Radio show and is national security strategist at Fox News; in re: The present US economy is booming — doubters no longer speak of recession — and the US is exporting rice to China.. . .  In North Korea, people are starving. In Iran the regime is murdering its own people.
When the US is strong, bad guys begin to worry.   FISA court insists that by 10 Jan the FBI explain why deceptions were practiced on the FISA court. . . .  Once the IG report s dropped, statements on how Durham had access to more information than the IG did.  Note also AG Barr’s statement today. New York Times: Durham asked CIA for . . .   Conclusion: Brennan is leaking. Leaks come from the defendant, not the prosecutors; Brennan is a lead defendant.

Hour Two
Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 2, Block A:  Dr. Victoria Coates, in re: Turkey and the S400.  The Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum in Egypt – half a dozen nations coming together cooperatively, to bring peace to that area; Turkey takes advantage of chaos in Libya to destabilize.
Incirlik?    The F35 and S400 cannot be together under any circumstances. During the JCPOA, 2013, ’14, ‘15, Iran went on a murderous rampage across the Middle East, incl Iraq, Syria.  What we see now is that economic pressure translates into political pressure.  Iran shut down its own internet for six days.  State Dept accepts videos – now up to over 40,000 submissions. Our msg to Europeans: cannot keep supporting regimes exercising such grave violations of human rights. Why would offering an economic lifeline to Iran now be in any way helpful?  Mohamed Zarif: reasonable and moderate? No.  One of Zarif’s close employees was busted in Germany this summer for terrorism. The Italian labor force demonstrated against Zarif because of Iran’s villainous treatment of workers.

Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 2, Block B:  Hanin Ghaddar, in re: Lebanon/Hezbollah.   Saeb Hariri has left government again.  In the near term, this is bad news: because of the violence, symptoms of the collapsing economy. In Paris last week, economic packages are ready for Lebanon with the stipulation that a credible govt be formed – which Hezbollah and others won't allow. The good news is that these demos are all Lebanese against two main things: the corrupt pols protected by Hezbollah, and the sectarian system* that’s been ruling Lebanon since the 1970s. They aren't divided , such as Sunni vs Shi’a; rather, it's the people united against the political elite.  Everyone can see that Hezbollah is the enemy.
Hezbollah’s number-one candidate is still Hariri.
*where the PM must be Sunni, according to the constitution.

Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 2, Block C:  10:30 PM Aykan Erdemir, in re: Turkey in Libya, Hamas in Turkey, İncirlik.   An agreement between Ankara and Tripoli. Neo-Ottomanist plans! Failed in Egypt and Syria, so Erdogan is trying to resuscitate it in Libya as all his neighbors build an energy union, build pipelines together – and all agree that they don’t want Erdogan in this club. . . .

Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 2, Block D:  PM Joseph Humire, in re: Bolivia, Venezuela.  Evo Morales, the narcolord who was briefly in Mexico,  stopped in Cuba for a day or more, is now in Argentina. Cocaine!  . . .  State and nonstate networks endeavoring to destabilize all of South America.

Hour Three
Thursday 19 December 2019/ Hour 3, Block A: Malcolm Hoenlein, in re: Boris Johnson moves forcefully against BDS in Britain.    BoJo’s victory in England bodes well for breaking the power of BDS there, as he’s already instituted regulations forbidding non-central-governmental organizations from having their own foreign policies, including BDS, which frankly is merely an anti-Jewish movement that demands the dissolution of the entire state of Israel.  . . .
