Backpack Nuke.
There goes Joe Biden on his screenplay for the next terror attack. "Frightening." "...or someone strappin' a backpack on them with explosives that are indigeneous..." Would that be a backpack nuke weapon? Indigenous? Just as the White House is tongue-lashing the GOP ops, Bond and King, who challenge it's clumsy and tardy handling of Abdulmutallab, the VPOTUS decies it is time to warn America that the beasties who go bump int he night are coming. What is this strategy? Deny, deny, understate, mumble, deny, withhold, mutter -- and then get Joe Biden to go bug-eyed with Larry King and scare those who have dozed off because John Brennan and POTUS and Biden are in charge of the nightwatch?

It’s heartening to hear that at least someone in the administration is actually open to the suggestion that we are still vulnerable despite Obama having been elected POTUS. The question remains: What are we doing about it? I do believe that much of what we’ve got going for us, as far as defending us from terrorism goes, is what still happens to be in place dating back to the Bush administration. These systems, however, are now on the wane - like a wind-up clock that hasn’t been wound recently. Nor will it be.
I don’t believe that Barack Hussein Obama puts the terrorist threat to our nation on the same level as the political threat to himself. The first and foremost enemy in Obama’s mind continues to be Republicans who, in his mind, would oppose his agenda just to score political points. Obama now looks on as independents and ever increasing numbers of the general public are joining the opposition. How to keep his crumbling support from deteriorating further is our president’s primary concern.
Obama has yet to realize that the explosive-laden backpack is his own policies. On the other hand, he does seem to be quite aware of the relatively low impact affecting his own standing a terrorist strike against innocents at a shopping mall, movie theater or county fair might have. If you think I’m wrong, just consider the fact that the Ft. Hood massacre registered barely a ripple in the opinion polls.
