Two Rules.
Limbaugh (above) rambles himself into vulgarity as he tries to deliver a pun he cooked up about PETA needing to get involved early in the 2010 mid-term because two species are going to be endangered, RINOs and Blue Dogs. Along the way, Limbaugh seems to stumble upon a vulgar remark about the New York 23rd's Dede Scozzafava. Perhaps it was in the script; perhaps it just appeared in his thoughts. Nothing creative. Still, why? Something brittle? Two rules in talk radio. The first is manners. The second is manners. So is the third, though it is usually unneeded. Puzzle why Limbaugh made the tactical error of being vulgar toward a woman who is already defeated, since he is routinely on script. Re the PETA cleverness. Fresh to think that Mrs. Pelosi and the right-wing share a self-interest in driving out loyal dissent from the chamber so that what's left is two sides who share nothing and can only think of massacre or oblivion. It has happened before. Comes to martyrdom and deafness.

I happened to hear Rush say this yesterday. It never occurred to me to write about it.

Owens: Limbaugh comment 'despicable', 'appalling'
PLATTSBURGH--Asked this morning about Rush Limbaugh’s “bestiality” remark Monday regarding Republican Dede Scozzafava, Democrat Bill Owens used the opportunity to rip the popular conservative radio host.
“I think it is appalling. I think the comments of Mr. Limbaugh are despicable and have no place in American politics,” he said. “No one should be subjected to that kind of activity, For the first time, yesterday I was angered by the way someone was treated.
Limbaugh, referring to the GOP nominee who abruptly dropped out of the race Saturday and endorsed Owens a day later, said Scozzafava was “guilty of widespread bestiality. She has screwed every RINO in the country.”

I don't find Limbaugh's comment particularly vulgar. It's funny, on target and, yes John, creative. I think people are taking offense because it's so accurate. DS has hurt RINOs everywhere - no doubt. I do agree that that is not good thing. However, Limbaugh is simply the messenger.
That a politician can be defeated by ads that accurately state her position on various issues shows how out of touch she is in her own district -- and how out of touch the Republican Party is that nominated her.
To me, Dede S did the politically astute thing by resigning. That she had to turn around and
support a Dem is odd. When she's up for re-election in the Assembly, what slate will she run on?
What I'm finding vulgar these days is POTUS bashing Bush at every turn. It's un-presidential. I never cared much for Bush, but I'm gaining respect for him w/every dirty punch that's thrown.
I just looked at the video. Obviously, this was written out. Limbaugh flubbed by not reading it
properly -- but he did get the joke out, albeit badly.
Again, finding reason to be critical of Rush, why? John, I love your input, analysis and commentary but you are straying and showing bias. Do you believe in the big tent of watered down beliefs and compromised positions?
DeDe did something disloyal, and split the vote. She became a target.
It is a very funny joke, worthy of SNL and hipster late night comedians. Perhap you would not mention it at the Parsonage or a church supper!
Calling BHO a "Man-Boy" must be truly hurtful to the Dems, they re-invented name calling and ad-hominem attacks during the Nixon era. All those Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Quayle jokes are coming back to haunt them.
